Dan Smolen is a global “empowerer” of direct/interactive marketing, consumer insights, and green business executive talent and the founder of the career development resource, The Green Suits.

As a nationally recognized executive recruiter, serial entrepreneur, direct and interactive marketing specialist, environmental and public policy activist, past chairman of a large regional political organization, and author of Tailoring the Green Suit: Empowering Yourself for an Executive Career in the New Green Economy, Smolen brings a unique perspective to green business executive employment. A native of New Haven, Connecticut, he spent his adolescence in Montgomery County, Maryland. It was there, in 1978, that his lifelong involvement with environmental issues began.

Smolen is a graduate of the Ithaca College Park School of Communications in Ithaca, New York. He lives in the Northern Virginia Suburbs of Washington, D.C.
